Bentonite
[ (Ca,Na)0,3(Al,Mg)2Si4O10(OH)2 ·n H2O ]
A highly absorbent natural clay mineral composed primarily of montmorillonite. Premium bentonite - the most versatile industrial mineral for drilling, foundry, civil engineering, agriculture, and environmental applications worldwide.
Nature's Most Versatile Clay: From Deep Earth to Every Industry
Bentonite is one of the most widely used industrial minerals in the world - a naturally occurring smectite clay composed primarily of montmorillonite, prized for its extraordinary swelling, absorption, and binding properties. Sourced from carefully selected deposits across India and globally, our premium bentonite delivers consistent quality and performance across the most demanding industrial applications. Whether it is sealing landfills, lubricating oil well drill bits, binding foundry sand moulds, pelletising iron ore, or purifying edible oils and wine - bentonite's unique colloidal and rheological properties make it irreplaceable. Its ability to absorb several times its own weight in water, form stable gels, and bind fine particles together makes it the preferred raw material for industries ranging from steel and construction to food processing and environmental engineering.
Grades
Sodium Bentonite
Swells up to 15–18× in water. Preferred for oil well drilling mud, pond & landfill sealing, iron ore pelletising & civil engineering barriers.
Calcium Bentonite
Lower swelling, superior absorption. Used in foundry sand binders, edible oil purification, wine clarification, animal feed & cosmetics.
Activated Bentonite
Calcium bentonite treated with soda ash to boost swelling & adsorption - used in drilling fluids, bleaching earth & water treatment.
